The hotel was wonderful! We were upgraded to a Jr. Suite which was very spacious and nicely decorated overlooking Via Veneto and directly across from... the U.S. Embassy. This hotel is located in a very nice area, away from much of the hustle and bustle of other tourist but still within walking distance of everything! There are many great restaurants nearby including the Hard Rock Cafe right next door. The front desk staff was helpful, however not as warm and welcoming as other hotels we've stayed at in Italy. It almost seemed a bother to be asking them for help. However, we're very self sufficient and the outstanding bell hop service, hotel amenities and location was worth our stay. The free hotel wifi is spotty and didn't work most of the time. The hotel is located within just a few minutes walk to shopping, the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The Coliseum and the Vatican are a bit further away, a good 45 minute walk , we opted for a cab which only took about 10 minutes. The hotel is a bit further from the airport, by cab with morning traffic it took us about an hour to get there. Great hotel over all , we especially enjoyed that the lobby is stocked with ice water infused with fresh fruit and the BEST marshmallows I have every had!
