At first, wireless internet didn't work but after we told to personal, its started work in 5 minutes. Rooms was clean and tidy. Subway station is next to hotel and to Manhattan its take about 15-20 minutes. Sometimes there is noise in rooms because of that subway and disco bar. Breakfast is just donuts, bagels and coffee/tea but not far from motel is great chinese restaurant, pizza, supermarket etc. A++++

Izby su velmi male co by ani nevadilo z hladiska komfortu kedze tam prakticky len spite ale nie je kde vylozit veci z kufra. Par vesiakov na zavesenie triciek a kosiel. 2) kupelna je oddelena prakticky len zavesom. Priecka s dverami by bola vhodnejsia. Inac hotel vrelo odporucame. Bolo nam fajn. Krasna terasa s barom, vyborny personal, moderny hotel a zariadenie, dobra poloha na Manhattane.

we had a room with 2 double beds. I could see a room with one bed is would be really too small. The beds were very comfy, the room was quiet but we were on the 10th floor. However, the reason we are rating this hotel a 3 instead of a 4 is because the room was really tiny for a family of 4 and the air conditioning unit was terribly loud which made it difficult to sleep. Nice, clean hotel; however, the bellmen/doormen not so good. It was pouring rain and several people needed a cab. One doorman simply said that it was very difficult to get a cab from there. Loved the Lucerne, it was in a great location, close to the subway and close to plenty of places for eating. The room wasn't huge but elegantly furnished and very comfortable. When we arrived to our room, the room was not made. The linens were folded on top of the unmade bed and the shower had no curtain so we called the reception and they moved us to another room. Found the Lucerne online. Wonderful experience staying there. Room was clean and modern. Would stay again. Only had one issue, the door lock did not work when we arrived but the maintenance guy had it fixed in short order which was a nice surprise. We have stayed at the Lucerne every year since 2003 and it has consistently been clean and the staff always has a warm welcome. It's just two blocks away from the Hayden Planetarium and the Natural History Museum. Nice Matin restaurant is adjacent to the hotel and there are numerous other restaurants within a ten minute or less walk from the hotel. We stayed in The Lucerne for one night after an opera visit. The service was very good and the room clean and comfortable. For those with little experience in NYC, we booked a superior room. I haven't seen the regular room in this hotel, but I know the shoeboxes in other hotels. So, this category was definetly worthwhile the higher costs. The only (minor) […] complaint was that the top sheets came late (but they came and were still warm from the dryer). The hotel is conveniently located close to good restaurants and not far away from the Lincoln center, our main destination. We will come back for sure. "Repeat visit"
this was my second visit to this hotel, and I highly recommend it. The only criticism I have is that there is no mini bar and no room service. there are stores in close proximinty, but it would be nice to get a complimentary bottle of water and have a bottle of wine and snacks for purchase in the room. What a lovely hotel! This is perfectly located in the middle of a neighborhood so not too crazy busy with tourists. The rooms are a little small, but that is typical for New York. From the minute we arrived, the staff at the Lucerne was fabulous -- kind, forthcoming and ready to help. The Concierge was able to book us on a bus tour within ten minutes of our arrival! The room was gorgeous (small, but OK, its NYC!) with a lovely bath and VERY comfortable beds. Everything new, clean and attractive.
