I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Meadowlands Expo Center as I was there for a trade show. It is within walking distance of the center and much more reasonable than the other hotels in the area. I plan to use it again next year for the same show.

The hotel is in a good location where quite a few good restaurants, a new theater, department store and Wall Mart are close by. New York City is also within easy reach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is good. You can always find a clean table in the breakfast area even in the busy morning hours. Compare to other Hampton Inns? Pro: 1. friendly staffs at the front desk 2. Near Outback steakhouse in case you need a meal/drink 3. Bus stop right across the street: Bus #320 take you to NYC for ~9 USD (round trip) 4. Take care breakfast bag if you are in a hurry: apple, water, mint, small cereal bar Con: 1. No meals provided, not even pizza 2. […] Breakfast is average, but they stopped putting out pastries at 9 when the breakfast last til 10am 3. The door will not close properly, came back to my room with the door unlocked 4. The comforter is visibly dirty Conclusion: older hotel that needs remodeling. We were on business in NY and did not want to stay in the city. This hotel worked out perfectly. It was very clean, great service and a wonderful breakfast with many choices.

PROS: For us the price was the main consideration. There were just no affordable choices in Manhattan over the New Years holiday weekend. I had some reservations about basing our trip to NYC from NJ - but this hotel ended up being very convenient for our family of 5. The 320 bus stopped right across the street, and we never had to wait more than a few […] minutes for a bus - with the dedicated bus lanes we got into Port Authority Bus Terminal new Times Sq and Theater District within 15-20 mins with no traffic anytime that we went in. The breakfasts were pretty good, everyone could always find something that they wanted to eat. The breakfasts were a key reason that we picked this hotel, this saved us significant money. The other thing was the free parking. We didn't use the rental car much while we were there - but it ended up being cheaper than the two cabs that we would have had to take from LaGuardia to just rent the car for the week. The neighborhood couldn't have been more perfect. It was very nice, clean and safe. Lots of restaurants across the street and close stores like Walmart and Sams Club within walking distance. We never had any issues with being out late in the neighborhood and often got back to the hotel at around 1am. The hotel was obviously full during our stay, but the staff seemed to do a good job, even at the chaotic times like breakfast. There were often a shortage of tables, but they opened up a conference room with additional tables on the busiest days. We got down to breakfast a late one day and the staff were very accommodating, even getting us some items that they had already put away, the staff were always very friendly and helpful, on New Years Eve the NJ Transit offered additional service on the 320 route until about 5:30am - the last bus back was 1am normally, the refrigerator and microwave in the room were a very welcome feature MINOR ISSUES: The heater in our room came on like a siren each time it would start up - we just started running Ďalšie informácie

It is a wonderful hotel. Excellent location, safe, near restaurants and a shopping mall, easy to get to NYC (bus cross street, 15 – 20 min, $8 for adult round trip, kids free); in a walking distance to a super Wal-Mart. Everything was exceptional at the hotel however i did arrive earlier than the 3 o'clock check in time but when ui asked at 2 P.M. if it was ok the desk attendant said yes in about 15 minutes and that continued until 3:30 p.m. I didn't mind having to wait but i would have done something with my time instead of sitting around waiting for an hour and a […] half. Close to New York, but lot less expensive. Manhattan only 20 minutes away by bus. The bus stop is accross the street. Very safe location

This hotel is so convenient to a bus to Manhattan. The neighborhood was friendly and safe. We had access to several chain restaurants across the street. The refrigerator and microwave were nice to have. The continental breakfast was fabulous. The staff was very friendly, professional and eager to help in any way that they could. They were able to help […] me get a taxi that was really a small limo for taxi price! They were able to accomodate our luggage while we picked up our rental car. only bad part of the stay was housekeeping two sep housekeepers knocking on door total of 4 times from 9 am to 11 one time walking in, check out is noon, I said we would be leaving between 1130 and noon to one at 9am and another time it did not stop it continued . The Hotel is located on a quiet area and only some steps away from the Bus Station to Manhattan. Near to the Food Area with a lot of different Restaurants and only 300m away from a big Wal-Mart. The Breakfast was simple, but ok. The Staff was unfriendly and incompetent. The room was old and attired.

Stayed here for one night to go to an event at the Izod Centre. If we had known how nice it was and how easy it was to get to by bus from Manhatten, we would have stayed here for our whole trip to N.Y! Friendly staff, comfy beds and plenty places to eat just across the street. All in all a great experience and would definitely stay again.

I stayed for two nights at this Hampton and traveled to NYC twice. Very nice hotel, clean, quiet, and easy to get to. Very convenient to the bus stop which gets you into NY in fifteen to twenty minutes depending on the traffic. It is a short distance from the major roadways so traffic around the hotel is relatively light and no road noise at night. […] I will definitely stay there again the next time I want to spend a couple of days exploring NYC. Convenient location, nice surrounding area with several restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Shopping also near to the area, and movie theaters (which I never had the chance to check out). The staff on the front desk were very polite, respectful, and helpful. This is outside of the city, there is a bus that comes and takes you to the port authority near Times Square, however, the schedule is iffy, and you need to know the public transit system outside of taxis to go this route, and this hotel doesn't provide a map of any type for transit or city. (Pick one of those up, they're handy.) We had driven in which […] made it much easier with kids and an elderly companion for the trip across the tunnel, park in a lot and then catch a taxi from there. The staff here was extremely pleasant, and service was excellent. This I cannot emphasize enough. Usual Buffet style breakfast which was ok. The rooms are probably typical New York/Jersey. Smaller and a definately not the cleanest, but better than the same or worse ones in overpriced Manhatten and it comes with FREE parking. There's a cute little plaza that surrounds the area with a few chain restaurants and chain stores, and of course a Starbucks. We stayed for 2 nights while visiting NYC. Wanted to avoid NYC prices but stay close enough, and this hotel was perfect. The rooms were large and nice, the bathroom especially. The morning breakfast was excellent, with very friendly staff. This is an ideal location for NYC. Hotel clean and tidy with free parking. Staff were pleasant and polite and the room was fine. Just a short bus ride No: 320 takes you straight into NYC. Would stay there again and would recommend this as a cheaper option to stay.

We were close enough to the city but not too close. No loud nightlife outside the hotel. But it had shopping and restaurants within walking distance. A special thank you to the ladies who made the breakfast. I saw these ladies with smiles every morning and a wonderful breakfast, very clean and neat. This hotel was awesome. Great staff, and great place location wise. You take a bus tight into new york for a minimal amount and you leave your car at the hotel and never have to worry about parking or what not. If you are looking for a comfortable, affordable place to stay while visiting the NY/NJ area, this is it...friendly staff, and early morning breakfast make every day of your stay a great one...I highly recommend this hotel!!

Stayed here for several days. The area has a decent array of restaurants around and is easy to get to and from. Room was a typical double bed room. Tv is old console type,not like flat screens in renovated or newer hotels. Beds are old spring type and not a a lot of support. Room service was good and timely. Excellent location with great access to NJT to get into the city. Excellent dining choices nearby although the sushi place smelled like a garbage dump! Sheets and bathroom were clean, but the bed comforter was dirty...:( eww.. They also forgot to book our 2nd room, but quickly made up for it.

Front desk staff very knowledgeable ~ excellent breakfast value ~ hotel in need of some maintenace, ie. hallway carpets ripped, tap in bathroom drips, needs fresh paint, stairwells messy ~ housekeeping needs to pick up garbage (left ours for four days we were there)

This was a great place to stay to conveniently get into the city by bus. Hotel does seem old though and they seemed to have lots of large school groups staying there. Staff was friendly!

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the convention center. The room and bathroom were clean. The room has decent amenities for the price - safe, free WiFi, free parking, coffee in the room and a pretty good breakfast. very nice hotel if you are looking for a affordable stay close to Manhattan. We arrived at 2:30 am (2 adults, 3 childlren). The people at front desk were extremely kind, they even offered us coffe and cokies for the kids. The location is perfect, surounded by shopping centers (there is an Outback restaurant in front) and it is 15 minutes away from Times Square, via Lincoln Tunnel. The room is clean. Good wifi internet access. Big free carparking. Simple but good breakfast (help yourself). Close to the bus station - across the street. 10 minutes by bus to manhatten (cheap). No bar in, but many bar's and restaurants around the hotel. Finaly it's recomandable. Would go again.

My family and I were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, comfortable accomodation, breakfast facilities and IT suite that proved very useful for checking-in for the flight home etc.

Perfect location next to all the resturants and bus stop into NY.. Extremely friendly staff. Only negative you couldn't open the windows would have been nice to let some fresh air into the room..would stay again tho!!
