Best Western Irving Inn & Suites at DFW Airport - Irving

I picked this hotel because I needed a late shuttle and most stopped at 11pm. Quick easy pick up. Low rates. Room clean, comfortable, service was great and coffee and breakfast in the morning. Would stay there again.

The lack of an elevator was a problem, since I have one lobe of my lung missings. The area was dark and a lot of people were just hanging around.I am glad the 7-11 was next to the hotel.

Low price but this place has deteriorated over the years to where it is a real dump. Electrical wires hanging out or the wall, cracked tiles and mold in the bathroom. TV had very poor reception. Dirty blankets, lamps and phone not plugged in and when I pulled out the night stand there was 5 years of dirt. Breakfast was good.

I was looking for a hotel near DFW as I had a midnight arrival and a early morning departure a day later. It is close to the airport. This is a old hotel with all room opening to the outside of the hotel. You cannot read the room numbers from your car at night, so selecting a parking place close to your room is difficult. The water temp was VERY difficult […] to adjust due to a sticking faucet handle. The pillows were not to my liking and their shape made it difficult to layer. The hotel is located in a convenient area, but is poorly maintained. The toilet barely flushed and usually took several tries to get the paper to go down. It was for one night only and I chose the hotel since it was close to the airport and I had an early morning flight. The shuttle doesn't start running until 5am and I had a 6am flight so that forced me to keep my rental car overnight. If the shuttle ran on demand or started earlier I could have had another hours sleep.

The room was clean and comfortable. We used the shuttle three times during our stay and it was excellent. We were picked up within 10 minutes of our call. The front desk was courteous and helpful. Many restaurants within walking distance.

Room was dirty hair on comforters, dirt behind head boards on floor, restroom smelt like urine. It is a older hotel but that doesn't mean they don't have to have a clean facility.

Great beds with down comforters .Helpful polite staff. We got in late when most restaurants were closed so they used the shuttle van to take us to and pick us up from the only restaurant open all night.It is a little dated, but otherwise great we plan to use them again.

Dates: From Dec 15 to Dec 17 Room: Standard Two Queen bed First off, the hotel is conveniently located near the airport freeway next to the Irving Mall, a 7 Eleven, Walmart, etc. The hotel condition is deteriorared, my first bad experience began when I left my room for the first time, after having unpacked all of our stuff, we went out to get dinner, […] when we got back we could no enter the room because the key was not working, after several trips to the lobby to speak to the attendand and being told not to place cards next to a magnet they realized it was the lock not working. We had to wait over an hour for the maintenance guy to get there and repair the lock, it was already late and we were tired. Our second and WORST exeprience was that same night, after we woke up in the morning, we realized 3 different cars had broken windows and missing electronics (GPS, satellite radios) we filed a police report, but the people from the hotel was absolutely not interested in helping us in any way, they do not have cameras in the back of the hotel (where our room was located) and do not take any responsibility for lacking any security. The back of the hotel is not fully closed from the outsiders so its easy for anyone wondering around to get in and out pretty easily from the premises. Outstanding Best Western. This hotel is very close to DFW and we stay there before trips out of town. This is our third stay in the last 12 months. We leave our car at the Best Western and are given a ride the next morning to DFW. Upon returning, we call and are picked up from DFW and taken back to pick up the car.

The desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was close to all the things that we needed. The room had a couple of problems...the blackout/privacy curtain was off the rod in a section and we had to work with it to make it private. The blow dryer kept shorting out. First impressions were very good. The room was clean and had plenty of lights, towels, and wash cloths. The beds and bedding looked clean and comfortable. Being near the interchange between 183 and 161 (the tollway) gives you quick access to most parts of the Metroplex. The complaints: (1) The housekeeper did not speak English. One morning, I told her to come back in an hour, but it was clear she only understood "yes" and "no." The room was not cleaned at all that day. And the day that she did clean the room, she turned the air conditioner off, and it was stifling when we returned later that day. (2) The beds were too soft and, frankly, worn out. The surface of both beds was concave. I awoke with an aching back every morning. (3) Finally, for some reason the hotel put us in a room all the way at the back of the hotel and a group decided to commune outside our room, talking loud and smoking cigars and cigarettes till the wee hours. Fortunately, I had earplugs but, unfortunately, there is no was to block the stink of tobacco.
