Senats Hotel - Kolín

We got a big room (very big...) for a reasonable price. Location was perfect between the old town and the shopping street. Breakfast buffet was good.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Senats. The breakfast was good and it was close to everything. It was easy to find. I use google earth to scout out the best route to and from a hotel. I booked the hotel based on the 5 star rating by Hotels.com. Its not a 5 star hotel, keep that in mind. otherwise its an alright hotel compared with the money you pay.

Good hotel in the heart of Cologne. A little outdated but good size rooms and very friendly staff which provided a good personal service.

The hotel is in a great location. We parked our car and walked all over town enjoying Christmas markets. OUr room slept 4 on individual beds. The beds were very hard and 2 were basically on the ground. The room smelled like wet carpet and the bathroom with the toilet was horrible! Luckily we were only staying one night so we dealt with it. The location is ideal, near the Cathedral, but in a quiet side street. The staff are friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and warm. A very good continental breakfast is included, but the staff also offer to cook bacon eggs etc. I will return to this hotel on my next visit to Cologne

conveniently located - walking distance to the cathedral and the main train station. wi-fi is over-priced and they would not accommodate a late check-out.

Pro: Walking distance to Dom, Hbf train station and pedestrian shopping streets. Free mini-bar and staff are diligent in refilling the content ... although would have been nice if still water was provided instead of carbonated kind. Senats hotel is well located vis a vis the Dom and HBF and decent local restaurants and shops are all around. One train stop to the tradefair and about 15 minutes to the Koln/Bonn airport. Breakfast is very nice. All that said, be sure to get a room in back as there is no air conditioning and the street noise is infernal with the windows open.

Stayed at this hotel one night. The hotel is very old-fashioned and in need of a renovation. The receptionist was very polite and the staff was friendly. There were several drawbacks though. The toilet wasn't cleaned for example. I wouldn't stay for another time.

We booked two seperate beds on hotels.com but the hotel knew nothing about it. They made up a low quality less comfortable extra bed in the room as they had no other rooms with seperate beds. I specifically mentioned it in the additional requests area when booking it that we should have separate beds.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. We were close to all the action.

if we go back to Koln/koeln/Cologne, this will be first choice great included breakfast, nicely stocked and replenished daily mini bar, nothing exotic, but nice. hard to find, but worth it and in middle of everything. enjoy, have fun.

all in all a very nice Hotel, very centrally situated the staff is very helpful

Front desk staff were extremely friendly. The location is perfect - close to the old market, the cathedral and the Rhine. On Christmas day they gave us a free champagne breakfast :) The rooms are very large and comfortable. This is an excellent hotel and we would recommend it to anyone.

We chose the Senats as it was so close to the Cathedral. It was a prime location for 3 of the excellent Christmas Markets which were a few minutes walk. Main shops were a short walk away. Staff were very efficient and friendly.

Great location located about a block from the dom. Parking was an extra € but I expected that. Room was clean and the included breakfast was a continental style buffet. I would stay here again.

This hotel is located in the middle of the Aldstadt with the Dom close by as well as some lovely museums and the pedestrian shopping area. For the price, my stay was delightful and comfortable with the staff providing any assistance I needed during my stay. Very simple, but spotlessly clean and tidy, absolute superb location, the only drawback was we expected a tea/coffee maker as per the web site but there was none in the hotel. Other than that we had a great time and would certainly go back. Breakfast was brilliant and far better that we expected.

Excellent place to stay. We were 4 (2 adults and 2 young children). It's so hard to find a single family room but this did the trick. Also had parking facility which was very handy.

Hotellet var helt greit. Gammelt og slitt. Ingen andre parkeringsmuligheter enn parkeringshus rundt i omerådet. Lå bra til med hensyn til shopping og uteliv.

Waren zum Karneval in Köln. Hotel ist dafür idealer Ausgangspunkt. Direkt beim Dom, direkt beim Zug. Kann nur empfohlen werden.

God og gæstfri service. Flot værelse med god størrelse. Rolig og central beliggenhed tæt ved Altstadt, banegården og shopping. Dejlig morgenmadsbuffet. Kan anbefales.

Ruhige Lage fast direkt am Dom. 50ziger Jahre Charme, sehr nett . Empfehlenswert!

Bra pris för ett bra hotell när centrum i Köln. Hotellet ligger bara ca 2 kvarter från gågatan. Rent och fräscht! Fast det kändes mer som det borde ha tre stjärnor istället för fyra som det anges! Frukosten var helt ok. Gick att få bla omelett och bacon vid beställning. Annars relativt enkel frukost!

良かった点： Domに近く（徒歩５～１０分）、また近隣のDom周辺に比べて少し安い。 悪かった点： シャワーカーテンがあまり機能しておらず、少し浴槽の周囲に水漏れした。 悪かった点はありましたが、それ以上に立地がよく満足です。

El hotel está bien: ubicación perfecta a 50 metros de la Catedral, y una habitación inmensa y limpia. Ahora bien, las instalaciones, aunque reformadas en parte, están tremendamente anticuadas, así como las habitaciones, que resultan algo frías (la iluminación no es agradable, la tele queda lejos, demasiado espacio despejado...) . An Verkehrsstrasse gelegen, deshalb sehr laut. Frühstücksbuffet ok., aber Kaffee ´italienisch´, d.h. sehr dünn. Für ein paar Nächte ohne Weiteres zu empfehlen.

das hotel macht auf den ersten blick einen etwas ältlichen eindruck, ist aber sauber und angenehm. freundliche bedienung beim frühstück und grosse zimmer. für mich gutes preis-leistungs-verhältnis. zu empfehlen.
