We were very happy with our stay at Comfort Inn Pottstown, PA. The only thing we would suggest is the bathrooms be updated and the carpets cleaner. "Go somewhere else!"
Front desk staff was courteous and friendly. The lobby was dirty and dated. The "breakfast" area was also dirty and not cleaned up from being used several hous earlier. Hit with a heavy smell of smoke even though this is a non-smoking hotel.The room was not cleaned by the hotel staff. There were wet towels on the floor that were clearly used by the […] previous customer. The bed linens were pulled down as if someone had just woken up and left the bed. We were given another room. The second room also smelled of cigarette smoke. The carpet was quite dirty and looked as though a vacuum never passed over it. Shower had a clog we stood in above ankle deep water. The toilet not seated properly and would shift when sat upon. Luckily we always carry antibacterial wipes and made the room cleaner than the hotel staff. We made due since we were only there for one night. The "breakfast" provided consists of rubbery half-dollar sized, I guess you could call them, pancakes, stale French toast sticks, poor selection of dry cereals, plain bagels, croissants, and very dry danishes. fruit looked old The waffle batter was sitting out uncovered in plastic cups. The cream cheese for bagels was frozen and we decided we had enough. We went to a fast food place to get something to eat. Avoid this hotel! Pros - The room was large, quiet, clean. The bed was comfortable. Included a microwave and refrigerator. Bathroom was well-lit with good ventilation. Lots of hot water. Good TV and channel selection.
