Room looked lived in, I requested non smoking and they gave me smoking cuz they didn't reserve me a non smoking. Got startled as my door got pounded on at 6am by strangers. But the rooms are nice if everything had been right.

Hotel was more of an apartment complex. People talking in halls about being there for months,working in the area. Felt like not for the business traveler. But, clean hotel and front desk clerk on the night I stayed very helpful and friendly. Would not stay again, too much noise late in evening in hallways.

As we were checking in there was a horrible stinky smell in the lobby. We were on the second floor and it was not even close to quiet, the people over us were noisy until 2 am!

Large room with work area, table a little shaky, older TV, plenty of space so you didn't feel cramped. only vending machines on site. Linens need to be replaced with brand new, clean but stained. Good for a 1 nighter, not sure I would do any more than that next time.

Hotel is a get what you pay for kind of place. Just needed a bed to lay in, relax, shower, and get ready again in the morning. Bonus for having Batman Begins for me to rewatch on DVD. Also has a great kitchen area to prepare your own meals with shopping close by.

PROS: With the full kitchen, an economical choice for extended stays. Units are comfortable, well maintained, excellent climate control system (both heat & A/C work well & are thermostat controlled), responsive front desk staff, and all details are supplied (regular and automatic dishwasher soap, salt & pepper, all dishes and cookware & utensils, high […] quality large fridge with automatic ice maker, 2-burner electric stove, toaster, bathroom toiletries, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, etc.). Free laundry is a major plus. Property is very clean and well managed and maintained. I will definitely stay here again for my future extended stays in Denver. CONS: Bed mattress is comfortable but starting to sag. Pillows far too small and notably uncomfortable - I bought my own at the nearby Wal-Mart. TV is OK but needs updating. Breakfast just OK (every day the same: orange or apple juice & granola bars & commercial, not fresh, muffins). The hotel room was clean and it served me very well. I needed a place to sleep that was close to my friends house. It was an added bonus that there was a microwave and refrigerator. It came in handy for storing and reheating left overs. The location was near quite a few shopping stores and restaurants.

This hotel was adequate if all you want is a clean place to sleep, but it is very dated and had absolutely no ambiance whatsoever. The entrance to the hotel was very hard to find, and appeared institutional. There were no extras whatsoever. This is a perfect "extended stay" hotel. It has a full size ice box, dishwasher, microwave, 2 plate burner and even comes with pans, plates, cups, forks, etc etc. theres a onsite "self serve" laundry room which is free. Lots of parking and the parking lot is well lite at night. I've stayed here many times before and i've never felt like i was in danger. […] I would say its safe area for familys, single women traveling alone, etc. the hotel is NOT A 5 star resort, but for the pirce it does offer everything you need for a extended stay or a few nights. This place is more like an apartment style rentals but they do provide housekeeping. There is no swimming pool or restaurant onsite, but its located within walking distance of all your major fast food places and local restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. Sometimes the staff is out cleaning the rooms so you will need to call them via the phone at the front desk. They always show up within 5 mins... Some people might complain about that, but i personally didnt see any problem waiting a few mins. Very disappointed. Room was dirty and smelly, on first day Received a fake phone call requesting personal info for "Incidentals" again. 3rd day stove stopped working out of no where, I would never Recommend this hotel to any family member or anyone.

My stay at the Hawthorn in DTC was a good one. The hotel is clean inside and out, and the rate was very affordable for my 3-night stay. It's pretty much a self-service hotel, which can be a good thing. They could use a better TV and channels, but internet and a DVD player come with the room, and there are many DVD's at the front desk. Very good. Not the Bellagio, or 5 star resort, but clean and good room with a comfortable bed. Also have some popcorn for you in the microwave to enjoy, and the gym is clean. Thank you also for having movies to watch while I stayed the night.

Overall, the stay was OK. The most frustrating about my stay was the thermostat. The thermostat shut off at night and when we went out. I slept in my winter coat, gloves and hat to stay warm. If you don't care about the room temperature, it is worth a stay.

We booked a last minute get out of town vacation, the place was perfectly adequate. Had a full size fridge, microwave, things we just needed to make things comfortable. The location was good for what we wanted to see, was in the "city" but quiet neighborhood....Garden of the Gods was about an hour away...so the location was good...there is a Wal Mart […] and Target for snacks or whatever.
