This hotel is close to all the main attractions in San Antonio, Riverwalk, Convention center, Mall, Imax and the Alamo. we really enjoyed our stay. Had a big breakfast and clean comfortable rooms.

Great hotel, very comfortable. But the last 2 times I've stayed at this hotel the fire alarm has gone off in the middle of the night. I was with my wife and kids and had to go down the stairs 11 stories. It was a false alarm but still very inconvenient. Then in the morning it went off again....another false alarm. Loved the location. Within walking distance to all attractions surrounding River Walk area. Adequate breakfast. Clean, quiet rooms. Friendly staff.

Clean and walking distance to many downtown attractions...

This hotel needs a really good cleaning in beds, mine for example was full of dog hairs, the bed was not comfortable at all, the pillows are plucking and that is really annoying too. The location is good, but you wont get rest at all with that bed condition, all my clothes was full of dog hairs and feather. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Even though it was Christmas night, we were able to get a very nice room. We also had two small dogs & they were treated well & welcomed. From the front desk to the doorman, everyone was courteous & helpful. The only problem i had was the cost of parking. they have the most awesomest beds and pillows. room temperature was perfect when we arrived. blow dryer, tv, frig, microwave, everything working. there was hot and cold breakfast. enjoyed the texas shapped waffles, too. excellent location. not the first time i have stayed and won't be the last.

Great location - just across from one of the entrances to Macy's. Made it very convenient for Black Friday shopping. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The Texas-shaped waffles were great. Would definitely stay here again.

For the most part, this hotel met every need for my family of Five. Even though the room only had 2 queen size beds, the staff was able to bring up a roll away for one of our kids. You can come and go as much as you would like. I can not comment on the pool because it was too cold for us, but it did look nice. The fitness center was nice to have. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the River Center Mall and Riverwalk. The Alamo is only a couple blocks away. The hotel offers free breakfast every morning with a wide selection of food to choose from. The hotel was very clean with comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only down side was the parking was […] $18.95 a night. We stayed 5 nights so it added up quickly. It is close to the freeways. It is a quick drive to Lackland Air Force Base (15-20 min). The location was very convenient walked to the events going on downtown. La Quinta charged me $18.25 each night for parking when Hotels.com said it would be 17.00. That would be the deciding factor for next time if I want to pay $36.50 for parking.

We had a great time, walked to the RiverWalk, Alamo, Guenher House for crusty waffles and lofty bisciuts. We drove the Mission Trail. Great location and outstanding hotel.

This place was great. The night before was a long dang story. Pero pero Choctaw.

The information given prior to our stay was that it would only cost $17 to self park our car (without valet service) but when I asked for that they told me it would cost 18.25 per day. I paid it, but thought it unfair. My son was only charged $17 for the whole stay as advertised. What is up with that?

This was a very clean hotel for being a little older. I had no hesitation putting my kids in the tub or letting them play on the floor. The staff was VERY responsive to us and the breakfast was fine. The gentleman's club next door was not a problem. So handy to be right on the freeway. Felt very safe about our car.

Less than 2 blocks from some major attractions including the River Walk and Alamo, breakfast was good, the location AND price couldn't be beat. The pool and whirlpool looked great but I didn't get to use it. The phone didn't work, we couldn't get the T.V. to work, after I set the alarm for 8:30, it continued to go off at 3:30a.m., and there were some […] sticky spots on the carpet so I had to wear house slippers. i liked it alot just they should chared the parking with reservation not on the side...i did not now that :{ ....everythig else was good

I was pleased with the hotel, the only drawback was a little confusing at first on how to get to the Riverwalk ( rated that a four). All in all it was within walking distance. Will stay there again.

Very nice room with frig/microwave. On-site parking. Free wi-fi. Inviting lobby and lounge. Nice selection at hot breakfast buffet. Friends at expensive hotel across the street plan to stay at the La Quinta next time.

The location was great, the continental breakfast was very good, with fresh waffles, fruit, eggs, sausage, yogurt, juice, muffins, etc. Our main complaint was that we asked for a Non Smoking room and were not given one. The hotel was full due to our conference, so we were told there were no other rooms even though we'd had our reservation for several […] weeks in advance, but the room really smelled like smoke and we didn't like that. This hotel was clean and comfortable and close to the convention center, but there is no room service, so don't expect anyone to bring you food to your room.

Hotel was a short stroll from the Riverwalk and the Alamadome. Room was clean and quiet. I would stay here again.

My sister-n-law, friend & I took a road trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at LQ Inns & Suites. Just 2 blocks from various hot spots along river walk it was a great buy for the holiday weekend. Awesome breakfast, great hotel staff & clean rooms. My only disappointments were that the non-smoking level (hallway only) had a strong smoke odor and the […] only 24 hr place to eat near hotel was gross in appearance & appeal (we didn't eat there). We chose to self-park when we booked but was stunned when returned from walking the river late one night only to find our paid parking spot was taken by visiting folks attending a hotel event; the valet took our key, parked our car with no extra charge. They worked tirelessly that night to accommodate the parking situation. One night (on foot), we lost our way back to the hotel, the trolley driver, bus drivers & SA natives were so friendly & helpful in helping us get back to our hotel; our 8 mile hike which should have been a 4 block walk allowed us to meet & see a lot of what the river walk had to offer. Hotel was in a great location. My 4 & 6 year old had no problem walking to the Riverwalk and Alamo. The breakfast was great. The staff very friendly. Rooms were clean. The only complaint is the bathroom smelled a little like urine. It all looked clean but my mom's room across the hall had the same smell in her bathroom. La Quinta was close to the Riverwalk and Riverwalk Shopping Center. The continental breakfast was outstanding!

Great location, easy access from hi-ways, easy access to Alamo and River Walk sights. Room was clean, staff was excellent. In room fridge and microwave very nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The self serve (daily charge) parking was very convenient and secure.

Great location VERY close to Riverwalk, super breakfast, nice pool, wonderful staff, inexpensive, has parking...this hotel what you need!!!

We travel all over the country on numerous conventions. Most of the hotels in San Antonio near the Convention Center were sold out. We booked La Quinta and from initial contact with the employees of the hotel it was horrible. They were not friendly, not helpful and seemed like they were unhappy to be there. THis is the first time I have ever had to […] switch hotels in the middle of a convention. The rooms were small and dirty. The maid service was horrible. She never cleaned the bathroom, just replaced towels. We switched to the Marriott Riverwalk and from the initial contact to our checkout it was wonderful. They were prepared for a sold out hotel! The hotel is located very close to the Convention ctr. Thus, it is a very good, reasonably priced, solution for attendees of conferences. It is within walking distance from the River Walk, restaurants, The Alamo, Children Museums. Services are good and include American breakfast. I had a pleasant stay. The staff were cooperative, the room was very clean and the hotel was quiet. the breakfast was good. it was nice to have free internet in the room but it was week and constantly interrupted.
