When we got back to our room in the evening, there was a line of people outside of the bar waiting for admission by the bouncer - suggesting it was perhaps more of a night club than simply a bar. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to Boylston and Newbury Street, and to Back Bay station. Light-sleepers should be warned that there is some noise from the street, but I didn't notice any of it coming from the bar next door (it was more traffic, etc.). "Nice and affordable hotel"

"Excellent choice for Boston"
Very convenient location - 15 mins walk to start of Freedom Trail, 10 mins to subway stops. Good restaurants within a 5 minute walk too. Rooms small but fine - just not very much space for hanging clothes (and a very compact bathroom) but for a 5 night city break it worked well. We asked for a quiet room on a high floor and got floor 7 (there are 8 […] floors). We were in the middle of the line of rooms so not too near the stairwell door (which was a bit loud when it shut) - so we were happy in terms of noise - in fact we were not disturbed at all.
