DoubleTree by Hilton Tucson - Reid Park - Tucson

This is a wonderful place to stay while in Tucson, from the warm cookie at arrival to the lovely room. The only problem I had with this visit was the smoke alarm beeped at 5:00 am off an on for about 40 minutes, then stopped. I stay here often and have never had a problem before, but wanted the Hotel to know.

Very old time hotel but pleasant stay. nice spacious room and in the middle of town. Had a great stay

No surprises and no letdowns! Just the same great service and staff along with nice, clean and comfortable rooms you expect from DoubleTree Hotels. If you play golf or tennis, bring your equipment, there's a golf course and tennis courts right across the street. After all the activities, relax by the pool at the hotel. The drain in the shower/tub didn't […] work well but the front desk had a guy come over and it was fixed within a couple of hours. Great service! A definite must stay hotel if you're in Tucson. The Double Tree was better then expected. We enjoyed the heated pool and complimentary work out facilities. The room was upgraded and clean. Nice flat screen. My family had a great time and we enjoyed the proximity to the park. Overall, loved this place and would recommend it for a family get away or business travel.

Great location. Easy check-in. Good housekeeping. Opportunities to improve - front desk gave bad directions to post office and for walking in the local park. We almost missed our plane after getting lost in the park. No place to hang towels. Would appreciate in-room wireless for no cost to make hotel competitive with similar venues.

This is a lovely Hotel with a pleasant staff. The rooms are nice and comfortable and it's always enjoyable. I recommend it highly.

Great hotel, very comfortable, nice touch was the warm fresh baked chocolate chip cookie upon check-in. Only downside was $6.70 charge for one US long distance 2-minute evening call- forgot my cell phone! Would definitely recommend it and stay there again!

Stayed at the Doubletree for the Tucson jewelry show. LOVED the hotel. The staff were SO friendly and helpful, the room was so clean and comfortable, the bed was AMAZING! Loved the warm chocolate chip cookies. I would stay there again for sure!

Great hotel service and conveniently located to downtown and shopping. The best beds. However, the breakfast buffet was awful! Our breakfast was not part of our stay and really regretted having to pay for such an awful buffet. Milk in the pitcher for the cereal was sour, pancakes were cold and barely cooked, nothing was refilled, toasters did not work […] and croissants had funny taste. Should have ordered off the menu and maybe that would have been better. The staff was very nice, the room was very clean just too bad we had this experience with the buffet. Ďalšie informácie

Have stayed at thi shotel in the past as well. I've never been disappointed. Great service, nicely maintained property.

The air conditioning could not keep up with the heat. Plus, there was an issue with the TV - it continually depixlilated whenever it was on.

Standard quality Doubletree which I'll return to in the future. Room carpet was damp in between the beds from either a heavy cleaning or spilled water. Mentioned it at checkout and the clerk offered a partial credit right away. Very apologetic.

Booked room with hotels.com so I was leery of my transaction due to experiences with other sites. Arrived at the hotel and was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the hotel. Very slow check-in. Otherwise, room was very nice, clean, and bathroom was spacious and unique. Matress was like sleeping on a cloud. Overall very happy with stay. Will stay there again.

I will never again stay at any hotel that doesn't offer free internet access from your room. They should remove from guest rooms the old telephones that no one uses anymore, and trade off the internet access so we can utilize our SmartPhones from the room instead of having to go to the lobby.

I recently booked this hotel in Tucson because I am moving to the area. I have stayed at Doubletree in the past and perhaps my expectations were too high. The Good: - The rooms were very clean. - Bed was comfortable - Bathroom was clean - Hotel staff was nice - Noon check out time The Bad: - No bathtub in the king room; just had a shower - Had an […] HDTV but the quality was horrible as I dont think they had a HDTV receiver. Whats the point? - Had to Pay $10 a day for internet service. The Ugly: - This doesn't have anything to do with the hotel itself per se, but it has to do with the restaurant, Javelina Cantina, that is connected to the hotel. My wife and I went there for dinner at approx 8 PM. There looked to be several people from the same group in town for a conference/expo thing. So we come in and stand there, and wait for a hostess or anyone to tell us if we can sit ourselves somewhere. Never happened. We were ignored by the staff. But I guess it worked out, because the dining/bar area was incredibly loud due to the conference group stumbling around drunk to the lame DJ in the corner. Rooms/Pool were clean and maintained well. Decor is a little outdated. Location is decently close to downtown and campus but it's not a walking neighborhood. Staff were friendly and accommodated and early check-in AND a late checkout!

Room was cold; apparently they had turned off the heat for the season, even though it was in the 40s and 50s outside that day. A maintenance man tried to help by setting the thermostat to 84, which helped. Shower water never warmed up in the morning; avoid the 9th floor.

Good Hotel, excellent for Tucson...close to U of A and within a few blocks of IN-N-OUT Burger...!!! Nearby Golf Course/Reid Park and only about 5 Minute drive to campus. Pool area is well maintained and BIG Flat Screen TV's perfect.

Good hotel over all but for the price I paid even with discount from hotels.com there were a couple things that put me off 1) Not all rooms are in the tower pictured. There are two wings not attached to the tower. The south wing I was on opened into the interior grassy area but on the exterior was a parking lot then street, not much different from […] a motel 6. 2) They lock the gates to parking except for the main entrance at night. Signs on the gates say "gates locked from 8pm-5am for the protection and safety of our guests" Just a some what disconcerting thing. The hotel was nice enough, but the beds were so firm that my back still hurts 2 days later. Also, we went to dinner Saturday and came back and wanted to use the spa but it closed at 11 pm and the front desk said that security would escort us out if we went in after 11. I feel that the spa should be available later especially on the weekends and with […] such firm beds! Also, no toilet paper holder...so weird. From the outside this hotel is not impressive. I was expecting the neighboring park to be much more than it was and the hotel looked pretty average. However, the room was absolutely gorgeous, roomy, and had a patio in the courtyard with beautiful green grass and orange and grapefruit trees. It looked as though it was recently updated with high-end furnishings. […] Doubletree's warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in are always a plus! I thought I had read that wireless internet was complimentary, but this was only available in the lobby. We drove north about a mile to Old Pueblo Grille. this is a great hotel for convention or business travelers. It is close to Tucson airport and many of the event for the Bead and Gem show that takes place in February. Hotel was well maintain and staff was very helpful. The only complain about this hotel was the very heavy smell in my room ( i change to another room and it also had the same smell). […] It feels like these rooms were closed and never used for years. Some of the rooms have complimentary Internet and some do not - if this is important to you, read the room description carefully. I went for the Tucson Gem Shows and one show was at the hotel. This meant I could walk down to one of the shows each day. It also meant a huge crowd showed up everyday and the hotel did not reserve parking for guests. Great Hotel with very clean lobby and rooms. The staff was great and the room was very large. The beds were very comfortable with good amenities. The breakfast was included, but the only complaint was the french toast was hard as rock and not made fresh.

After arriving a little early on NYE to Double Tree Hotel, Tucson, we were greeted with a warm cookie and offered an alternate room immediately. Although there seemed to be plenty of little discrepancies, like: heater not pumping warm air (when 36* outside); TV remote not working if we were more than 2 feet from the set; corner by window was not vacuumed; […] "free internet/wifi" was not free in the room, just the pool area and lobby...we were quickly pacified on ALL issues (other than the wifi, which was OK.) The property was well kempt. The buffet was lovely and the coffee, good. Work out room well outfitted, pool heated in the winter (A+), jacuzzi clean and HOT! This will forever be remembered as the NYD mom got PERFECTLY peeled and de-pithed Pima pink grapefruit at the "Reid Park Zoo Hotel" in my family. Did I mention the quaint down-home zoo is RIGHT around the block? Yes, walking distance! Conscientious, polite (not snooty) staff on every level.
