The hotel was absolutely wonderful! There was entertainment and the food was great. We are definitely staying again!

We had a fantastic stay. Even though we had a city view not beach front we had a slight view of the beach. The location was great and very central. It was a very busy location but that is what we wanted and expected. The restaurants and bars were everything we expected.

We loved staying at the Outrigger. Great view from our oceanfront room, walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We visited Dukes and Hula Grill restaurants in the hotel. Wonderful food and the prices were not out of line. Nice pool and right on the beach. Great service, including a courtesy room to prepare for our late-night flight.

This hotel is in a wonderful location right on Waikiki beach. It is very clean and reception and concierge staff are extremely helpful with any questions you may have. Brilliant hotel.

Excellent hotel to stay at! Close to alot of attractions and shopping. This hotel is right on the beach and has beautiful views. You also have to try the bacon cheeseburger from hula grill! Amazing. Dukes breakfast was delicious and you can look right out on the ocean while you wake up.

We had a fabulous stay at the Outrigger on the Beach. All staff were super friendly, and very helpful. The location was FANTASTIC, and we loved dining at Chucks, Dukes and the Hula Grill. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Can't wait to return.

Loved this hotel & location...we plan to go back many times, only we won't get a room with a jacuzzi tub, as it takes up too much space. The beach & restaurants are great!

Great location, very friendly staff. We did not have a flight back to the mainland until midnight so we had to check out of the hotel by noon. we stayed on the beach the rest of the day and they were kind enough to let us use a courtesy room for a half hour to get cleaned-up before we went to the airport. The Outrigger was great! Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was so nice. The entire hotel is very clean and updated. Its great that it is right on the beach. Will definitely stay there again!

Enjoyed our stay here. The room's are well maintained and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The location is great - right on the beach which made it easy to go for a swim or surf. Helpful in terms of organising activities although watch out for the 'discount' for attending a time share sell at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. The Hula […] Grill is a great spot for breakfast especially if you get a spot overlooking the beach. Situated at a great spot on Kalakaua Ave near shops and restaurants. We have stayed at this hotel five times. It is located directly on the beach in the middle of waikiki,the best position of all hotels.It is a little dated but still very desirable.Our room faced the beachfront with amazing views,worth the extra charge.

Good check-in. Tired rooms. Modest view from "partial sea-view" rooms. Unattractive access to the beach. Difficult to get a meal in the restaurant, although once you can get a table, food was good.

The hotel was a wonderful place to stay for the full Hawain cultural experience.From the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful and even managed to provide an early check in for our very tired family. Our room was well situated with ocean views of the magnificent Waikki beach and Diamond Head and serviced daily. The hotel is right on the beach […] with friendly pool staff and the legendary Dukes for meals and a beachy surfing atmosphere with live music late in the afternoons. There are free cultural activites and we learnt how to Hula! The kiosk provided freshly made sandwiches and huge shaved ice cones. The beach is amazing with beach staff providing surf lessons and hiring of beach chairs and sea sport equipment.The tour desk also organised our Pearl Harbour visit and Luau. Comfortable rooms, very clean, dead-center in Waikiki, great staff, well-organized. My only issue: they could allow you to smoke on the balcony - what's with the oppressive anti-smoking rules?

The position was the best in Waikiki. Loved it!! The pool was not as nice as its Neighbour hotels. We had breakfast included in our rate . This made our stay even better. It was a great family holiday. Location was perfect.. Hotel was pleasant and clean. Would stay there again because of unbelievable location and good value.

Lovely people and perfect location!! Don't miss the catamaran cruises that leave from the beach right in front of the hotel! Best deal going in Waikiki! Perfect location, if you can, upgrade to an ocean view suite, it's an amazing space!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms are newly refurbished and very comfortable. However the public areas of the hotel are looking a little tired. We wandered through one of the other Outriggers, the Outrigger Reef, and their public areas seemed brighter and smarter. Dukes Bar is jumping every night and it's often difficult to get a table. The […] Hula Grill has a great happy hour with good prices on drinks and tasty appetisers. It is also a surprisingly good restaurant for dinner with really good food and excellent service. One thing which did annoy us was being being pestered by someone selling timeshare in the hotel lobby. You expect it on the street, but NOT in your hotel. We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was great! The staff were really helpful and friendly and the location was amazing!! So central to everything! The beach out the front is beautiful with crystal clear water and plenty of tourist things to do. We got a complimentary bottle of champagne from the hotel as a congratulations which was kind. We stayed […] in a partial ocean view room which was clean and a good size. It has a fridge and a coffee machine and cups but no bowls or anything if you were plannin on having breakfast/cereal in your rooms - we just used the coffee cups and got spoons from the ABC Store where we bought cereal. Wonderful! Perfect place for a honeymoon. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond for us. Beautiful and clean room with a gorgeous view of the beach. Also, Dukes is just downstairs, great food and drinks!

You cant get a better position in Waikiki - central, right on the beach, close to the main shopping area and plenty of restaurants from take out to eat in. Our room, was on the front of the hotel and was very clean and comfortable. The font desk staff in reception were very helpful and friendly. The staff in the tourist desk had plenty of information […] regarding tours, and commercial activities, but new very little local knowledge - climbing Koko crater, or local botanical gardens. We found the waiting staff in the main breakfast buffet "a little to cool" and not very accommodating of the fact that we had a 5 month infant who needed to be in a push chair consequently ate elsewhere each morning. Our house maid was fantastic, and very accommodating of the fact that we had a 5 month infant who needed to have a morning sleep. We arrived early (8:45am) after an overnight flight from Sydney and expected to have problems checking into our booked room at that time. The reception desk gave us immediate attention and offered a number of upgrade options at moderate cost. We were given an excellent room and access immediately.

We went for a week Dec.2-Dec.8 the Hotel was in the perfect location, centerally located to everything. The weather was perfect. Beach out front was amazing got a little crowded, but it should be, because it is amazing.

The lifts are still being upgraded - how long does this take? Is there a skills shortage for this type of work? But the ones that were running are great - if you like the squashed in feeling and a standing up sauna. They are so small and hot. We found the reception very unhelpful (unless it required you to pull your wallet out) and disinterested. […] We arrived (after a nine hour flight) before our room was ready, and at no time did they mention there was a courtesy room to get freshened up in. I had to ask if it was available, but they were very quick and eager to sell a room upgrade. I would strongly suggest anyone who has booked this motel to contact them before you go and get your requests (eg; Diamond Head side, high floor, King Bed rather than the 2 doubles) sorted out. Because if you leave it till your at the desk checking in, you will be told that there are no rooms available in your class left with those requests and you will need to upgrade. Rooms are pretty good and the cleaning staff cannot be faulted. Rooms are quiet between rooms, but noise coming in from the hallway is bad. The doors offer no sound deadening qualities at all. Disappointed, after reading some of the other reviews. Maybe they just didn't like me or my tolerance for fake people only looking for a tip and not genuinely try to help is getting low. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Our room type was Ocean View, where our previous stay was a Partial Ocean View, they were almost the same, so next time I wouldn't bother paying the extra. In both cases we were able to watch the beach, spot turtles etc all from our balcony. The actual room itself was identical. The hotel's pool is much better for children […] now that it has been renovated. It was previously way too deep, in addition there are more sun chairs around the pool. Shade is only provided by the small quantity of palm trees, as umbrellas are not available by the pool (unless you BYO). It should be noted that the hire of chairs with umbrellas on the beach is quite expensive and not offered free of charge by any of the hotels located along the beach. I have stayed at the Outrigger on three other ocassions and have always had a great time. The staff is always very friendly, from front desk associates to pool attendant. Resturants are wonderful and location is perfect. I'm already planing my next trip in the spring. I would recomend this hotel to everyone.
