The hotel was generally clean and well looked after. It's a typical "business" hotel and provides all you would need for a business stay or for business people to be there for a holiday or short break. Internet access is included in the room price - more hotels need to make note of this; it's a basic business requirement and shouldn't be an additional […] charge. The location is excellent - 20 minutes walk to the Sacre Coeur, 10 minutes taxi ride to the Louvre or 10 minutes taxi from Gare du Nord. Best point of reference is Place De Clichy for return taxi. Room service menu for food is a bit limited as are English-speaking TV channels. Also bear in mind the rooms at the front of the hotel overlook a busy road so they can be a bit noisy. The cafe in the lobby provides good coffee but restaurants and cafes are a close walk from the hotel. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was always clean when we got back. This was my first time in Paris and I may not be used to their standards. The room was nice and clean. The hotel is also conveniently located to the metro. However, the room is terribly small even for NYC standards (I don't know if this is typical in Paris). Also, the extra small glass shower wall does not do much to prevent water from leaking out. […] So every time we took a shower, we would have a flood and would have to clean it up. Amazing location for a short city break. Easy access to the rest of the city by metro, with the station just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The room and staff were faultless.

Close to metro and reasonable walking distance from Opera, Louvre and smarter areas etc. We were shocked when we were charged for breakfasts when we checked out as we thought it was included - our documentation didn't state 'room only' and, on checking in, the receptionist told us times and venue for breakfast but didn't mention the cost.

Our experience was spoiled by having no hot water to bath/shower on our last day. This was not available from 7.30am until 11am. Staff said it was for whole hotel.

This was an amazing hotel to stay in, just around the corner from Moulin Rouge so lots going on. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very spacious. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Only one thing was the maid came into our room whilst we were there on one of the days, instead of coming back he decided to clean around us which […] made us feel a little awkward but this only happened on one day so an isolated incident. Great value room, for the centre of Paris and being round the corner from the Moulin Rouge was just perfect for us. Elodie who worked on the front desk was supremely helpful - no request was too small or too big. Cannot more highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Paris, we would definitely return!

This is a good hotel specifically for Montmartre (unless you want to stay right in the heart of Montmartre) and for Paris generally due to its location next to a metro station. We found some great restaurants nearby too.

A basic hotel with few luxuries, but a good location if you are interested to visit Montmarte and Sacre Coeur. One word of warning, the hotel is just around the corner from the Moulin Rouge and the ajoining red light district. Families beware. So, better for adults and business travellers.

We were met by friendly , helpful staff at the desk. The hotel is only 100m from the metro at place de clichy. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and small shops and a stones throw from the Moulin Rouge and the Sacre Coeur. We chose the Mercure because of its locality to the Feerie show at the Moulin Rouge. Yes there are sex shops around the corner […] from the hotel, of course there are .... It's the Montmartre ! But the hotel is not affected at all. We didn't bother with the breakfast so I can't comment on the hotels fayre. We chose instead to jump on the Metro and ride a few stops down to the Champs Élysées and get a pastry and Cafe au Lait and watch the beautiful people promenade as only la Parisienne can do. A word to those who expect peace and solitude . French people use their car horns a lot, either roll with it or go to Provence because they'll be doing it outside your hotel room 24 hours. I've stayed at this hotel before. I wasn't paying attention and they gave me a room on the 1st floor near the meeting rooms... with a 5 step walk up to get to the room level. Struggled to find an affordable priced hotel in Paris and was very happy when I came across this one. Hotel was in a great location near some really nice pubs and restaurants. Staff were friendly and rooms were great. It's worth paying extra for the Paris view rooms as you can see the eiffel tower.

A well-situated hotel, quiet and comfortable. The only reservation we had was about being able to hear the guests talking very clearly in the adjacent room ( which had a connecting door with our room ). If they had switched on the television too, perhaps late at night? Maybe they just had loud voices.

The location was close to sightseeing restaurants and the metro. The hotel however is overpriced and it is definately not a four star hotel. The fan in the room was very loud. I would look for a cheaper solution next time.

Hotel was in a great location however it was way overpriced for the amenities available. The breakfast was too expensive and the food quality was good. I believe the attached IBIS hotel is a better bargain.

We arrived late to the hotel on our first night (after 10pm) and even though I had stated this on our booking reservation their gave our room away. Therefore, we were in an old, dingy and smoking room with two twin beds instead of the updated, non-smoking and king room we had paid for. When we asked the staff why the night workers said there was nothing […] they could do and and we would have to speak to the manager in the morning. When we did, they immediately moved us to the room we were supposed to be in, but not after we spent the night in a room that was definitely not worth what we paid. The second room was much better and was what we expected. Even still the first experience somewhat ruined the stay for us. I would stay again if they could guarantee the room to us, but I'm not sure I'd take the risk.... My advice, if you do decide to go with this hotel make sure you ARRIVE EARLY! disappointing....
