excellent, but hot water not hot enough!!!!

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel in Sydney. The location was perfect for us for sightseeing and the staff were very accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Sydney, Australia.

This is normally a great place to stay but the rooms and facilities are a bit tired at present. When the update has been competed I will return to the hotel.

Fantastic location. Staff the best & most helpful I have ever come across. Great place to stay. I will be lining up again.

Not poetry, but here's the experience summarized. Our room at the Sofitel was good- two large, cushiony beds in a clean room with a nice bathroom. The lobby and bar were posh (the restaurant was closed at the time of our stay). The staff were helpful and polite. The food was good. The internet was obscenely expensive. There was some construction going […] on, so during the day the room had a buzzing background noise. Room was comfortable especially the huge king size bed but was a little tired - marks on the carpet and some cracking of the paint in the bathroom. Close to Circular Quay so great for using ferries. Surrounding cafes a bit ho-hum but a great little pie shop across the road serving a cheap tasty snack with beautiful freshly made muffins. $46.50 for parking […] which is not cheap. They told us we would have a free newspaper in the morning but that didnt arrive. Also tried to use the TV and it didnt work...so a few annoyances Ďalšie informácie

Very disappointed with this hotel. We were checked into a cheaper room than we paid for and when moved later that day the new room had ripped bedding. The requested newspaper did not materialise on either day. On check out we asked both reception and the concierge about getting to the airport by train. Neither of them advised us that the train to the […] airport was shut for maintenance resulting in us nearly missing our flight. I would expect a 5 star hotel to know this info and advise guests accordingly. I would also expect a 5 star hotel of this size to have a swimming pool All hotels this big should have a swimming pool. The hotel was great and very centrally located. The check in and out was great, but the valet parking was a little strange... You need to drive to the back of the hotel and then they valet park your car under the hotel. They need to expalin this more clearly on your reservation confirmation as I got stuck infront of the hotel waiting behind hire ca […] rs. Ďalšie informácie

Sofitel is close to pubs n all the expensive shops but a little far away from the train station for my liking. Also rooms are particularly SMALL n if u have to stay anymore than 1 or 2 nights its just a bit 2 cramped.

Hotel was very nice, but did not have the bill correct. I paid for the rooms in January, but was presented a bill from the hotel upon checking out.

The rooms are really small, we had to reject one because it smelt awful, the lifts are very slow and the staff are unfriendly. Having stayed in most of the good hotels in Sydney I'd recommend almost any - Hilton, Shangri La, Four Seasons, Intercontinental, Marriott - over this any day.

This hotel is beautiful and is perfectly situated in walking distance to everything. I was travelling alone and felt very safe in the area. Would recomend this hotel to anyone and would stay there for sure again.

At check-in, although we had requested a smoking room, we were not told we did not receive a smoking room & only realised when we got into the room. That's when we noticed that the toilet did not flush, the shampoo was missing, the bed linen was stained & there were bloodied fingerprints on the bathroom walls. Our requested newspaper never arrived during […] our stay, nor did our 2nd bathrobe we requested. We booked the "Air of Romance" package & did not receive our bottle of champagne & had to convince the hotel staff we had a late check-out, although this was supposed to be included in our package. This was the worst hotel we have encountered, we do not recommend staying there & personally we will never go back, despite the hotel offering us a "free upgrade" for our next stay! Nice enough hotel but with very small rooms.

Hotel lobby very grand showing off it's 5 stars.Room was clean but small, with a view of a construction site. Bathroom small, although marble.Appeared to be a closet at first glance from inside the room, as the door was two piece opening outward, like a linen closet. Saving grace was the very comfortable king size bed. The restaurant and bar lounge […] was very expensive. We chose to eat out. terrible terrible experience. problems started at check-in. the room was also not very nice. the washrooms are terrible compared to any other 5 star. no emphasis on cleanliness at all. my room was not cleaned a couple of days during one weeks stay. room service v bad, they just forget if u order anything. look down the balcony...its filthy. bottom line […] not a 5 or even a 4 star property...just fooling us Ďalšie informácie

Excellent! The location made the stay...walking distance to the whole CBD, restaurants, Circular Quay, the Rocks...the lot was right on our doorstep.

!st class in everything.Only negative was high breakfast price $38 without a package.It looked great.

Rather upscale and just a few blocks from Circular Quay.

Our first night stay was in a room on the 17th floor with a view of the buildings across the street. Unfortunately the room was located next to the elevators so we could hear the machinery all night. The next morning we requested another quieter room and they immediately assigned us another room on the 7th floor. Because the new room wouldn't be ready […] until 2:00 p.m., they offered to move our packed luggage from the 17th to 7th floor. The service of the hotel is outstanding. Enjoyed discussing places to visit and restaurants to dine at with the concierge. The concierge even treated us to an appetizer at one of the quality restaurants that we dined at.

We thoroughly enoyed our stay at the Sofitel. Lovely clean modern and spacious rooms with luxurious beds. No complaints at all. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Given it's location close to The Rocks area, Circular Quay and the Opera House, the Wentworth is well situated, and is close to the central shopping district and Darling Harbour. High levels of service and the basic rooms are well equiped and comfortable. Recommended.

Das Hotel ist ein Gebäude aus den 60er-Jahren, das gut in Schuss gehalten wird. Die Lage ist sehr gut, Nähe Martin Square und ca. 8 Gehminuten vom Circular Quay entfernt. Somit ist alles gut fußläufig erreichbar. Unser Zimmer war ruhig, aber leider sehr klein, vor allem das Bad. Die Einrichtung ist hell, etwas altmodisch, aber gepflegt. Leider sind […] die Matratzen extrem weich und man sinkt sehr durch - nichts für Rückenschmerz-Geplagte. Eine Abhilfe war leider nicht möglich, da keine anderen Matratzen vorhanden sind. Wenn das Frühstück nicht inklusive ist, ist es mit 40 AUS-$ überteuert, selbst für das hohe Preisniveau in Sydney. Entsprechend sind auch die Preise für andere Dienstleistungen wie z.B. Roomservice oder Wäscheservice. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle freundlich, die Atmosphäre ist insgesamt entspannt, man ist eher auf Business-Kunden ausgerichtet. Ďalšie informácie

이 호텔의 유일한 장점은 도심한복판에 위치해 이동 및 대중교통 이용이 비교적 편하다는 것이다. 그 외는 전부 별로임. 방에서는 오래된 카펫에서 나는 고팡이냄새가 좀 나며, 실내에 슬리퍼도 구비되어 있지 않고, 비치되어있는 수건의 갯수는 부족하다. 주말에는 연회장에서 결혼식하는 소리가 저녁늦게까지 방으로 선명하게 들려오며, 밤늦게 새벽 다섯시까지 파티소리 객실복도에서 떠들고 소라지르고 방문두드리는 소리가 들려와서 귀마개하고 자야할판이다.(선진국이라더니 쯧쯧..) 별 다섯개짜리 호텔이라는데 한국 로컬호텔만도 못하다. 디자인이나 여타 서비스도 그저그렇다. 시드니서 묵은 호텔 중 제일 별로였음.

Bodde har over nyar och aven om hotellet var fint och bra sa kostade det mer an det smakade. Rummet var helt ok men inte mer.Jag hade hellre laggt mer pengar och fatt utsikt over operahuset men allt var fullt i Sydney. Personal trevlig, bra gym. Excellent location for business and leisure. Extremely comfortable bed and a real bath (not one with 20 cm height as usual with modern American style hotels).

Ayant testé de nombreux hotels de grand standing à travers le monde et en ayant testé d'autres en Australie, je peux dire que le Sofitel de Sydney est le meilleur Hotel de Sydney et sans doute meme celui d'Australie.
