This hotel was clean and located well. The problem was maintenance. The elevators did not work to the club level with your key card. The pillows and sheets were stiff. The manager didbn=nt sem real motivated to make a room change even though I was willing to pay more. "NICE HOTEL WITH GOOD SERVICE"
My husband and I stayed there for the last 2 nights of our extended honeymoon as a last minute decision. We were so exhausted from our "honeymoon" vacation in the Florida Keys and Orlando that we decided to just find a nice hotel on our way home (we live in Florida panhandle) and decided to give this hotel a chance. We just wanted somewhere that we […] could stay and not leave for any reason. We had mixed results...At check-in the staff person wasn't what I would call "friendly", but he was efficient and got his on our way quickly. The breakfast buffet and staff were fantastic! Excellent omelets and various breakfast items available until 11 (I think). They do have a coffee shop but it's only open until breakfast is over which I HATED as I am a 6-cup a day, all day coffee person so we had to drive 4 miles to the Dunkin Donuts. We also wanted to have lunch at the hotel but from what we could see only room service was available (which was disappointing as we liked the bright dining area) so we went out for lunch (no restaurants nearby but some within 5-10 miles according to GPS). We did order room service for lunch and it was fast and very delicious. Couldn't have been happier with dinner. As far as staying in, not many TV channels available, but lots of pay-for items of many types. Overall, a great stay and we would stay there again. Stayed one night with my family but wished we could stay a little longer. Location was a little further out from where we needed to go but the lobby area and amenities at the hotel were perfect! The hotel was in great condition and the room was amazingly comforting. the staff was very friendly and the Room Service was fast and polite. The location of the hotel was just right outside the traffic and congestion of the Central Business Districts of the city and it was easy to get in and out as well as park. I was disappointed that I ended up with two queens beds instead of the King bed I selected. I specifically chose this hotel over another because it appeared to have Kng beds available. Great hotel. I ALWAYS stay here now. Great gym, great oudoor swimming pool in a lush tropical park setting. Can't beat it. Use to stay at the Courtyard but not anymore. My stay was okay. My room smelt like a dog was living there. I have allergies and it wasn't a good leisure time for me. Was a bit skeptical to stay here based on other reviews. But found the hotel to be very nice, convenient and reasonably priced via hotels.com. Our room and beds were very comfortable and clean. Our hotels.com price did not include much such as continental breakfast, etc. but not sure if Sheraton's regular rates covered that either. We were only there for a few hours as we arrived late and left very early next morning for a youth event. My only real complaint was that there was no hair dryer in our room. I called down to the front desk about midnight when I realized this was missing and was told they would send someone right up. It never came. Called the next morning to ask again thinking they would be less busy in early AM hours. Was told they would send someone up ... and they did, but the dryer arrived literally as we were walking out our door to leave with wet ponytail. "Safe Bet Hotel."
This is my third time staying at this Sheraton hotel. I have returned so many times because it is the only hotel that has actually NOT disappointed me. I didn't go into it expecting much (knowing its not a 5 star hotel), but I also wasn't disappointed with what I received. Usually 5 star hotels are so hyped up that you end up leaving disappointed, like […] the experience wasn't all you had hoped for. This Sheraton is a safe bet, offering a good mix of price and value. We decided last minute to drive to Orlando New Years weekend and all the hotels near Disney/Universal were sold out. After reading great reviews on Sheraton, we decided to spend 4 nights here. When we arrived a soccer tournament was in town so many young girls were hanging around in the hotel. Luckily they nicely placed them all on one floor so we did […] not hear them once we were in our room. The cafe has Starbucks, which is a plus, and all employees were great throughout the hotel. The workout room was very surprisingly nice. Probably one of the nicest I have used in a hotel! One day it was nice enough for us to use the pool and we loved that. The water was warm and the area was very relaxing. we used Room Service as well and it came before the estimated time. The food was yummy as well. The only bad comment, is that Interstate 4 gets VERY busy so at times coming back from going to the Disney parks, it would take us 45-55 minutes. "Very classy, fine hotel."
I stay at the Sheraton in Maitland on the trips to Florida. The club level rooms are very nice and quiet. The staff at the front desk are extremely accomodating and courteous. Even though some of my trips are in Lake County, the location of the hotel is very convenient for various trips. The only complaint is the room service food. "For the price I expected more."
For the price, the place was just ok. There was no complimentary breakfast, unless you just wanted cereal. and the food for dinner was pretty expensive.
