Charleston Marriott - Charleston

This hotel is not in the historic district. It is closer to the citadel and the River Dogs Stadium.

I did not choose this hotel location, so when I looked up Charleston's map I was at first up set that we were staying on the opposite side of where all the action is downtown Charleston. Come to find out, the area is smaller than I thought! Everything was a quick cab ride away! I think next visit I will get a place closer to the historic district just for convenience. However, our hotel was very comfortable and nice. Good food in the one restaurant. We got the deluxe package which included the breakfast buffet every morning- very convenient and nice. We did walk downtown- we were planning to take the free trolley but never […] saw it, so ended up walking the 2 miles to the Seaquarium. For what we paid for this room I was very disappointed to find it wasn't walking distance to the historic area of Charleston. The staff then pushed paying $6 for the shuttle to downtown (each day), and didn't mention the free trolley that ran right in front of the hotel. I felt like we were being fleeced and glad we at least used a Welcome Rewards night […] to cut our out-of-pocket expenses. Beautiful hotel and beautiful view from our room, but small and a tight fit for 4 people. Check the location carefully if you aren't familiar with Charleston. Ďalšie informácie

We were here on our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. Upon checking in the man heard we were on our honeymoon and gave us free shuttle passes for the entire 5 days we were there and he also had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne sent to our room. The facility and our room was very nice and the staff was excellent! We had no complaints. The […] only thing I would say is not great is that it is not walking distance to the main part of downtown so they have a shuttle that runs every half hour (which is convenient) but it costs $6 per person per day. We were lucky he gave us free passes because it ended up saving us a ton of money! There were different shuttle drivers all the time and they were all nice, giving us recommendations, etc. No complaints at all, we really enjoyed our stay! Ďalšie informácie

I got a great deal from Hotels.com on my room at this Marriott in downtown Charleston. From arrival to departure 4 days later, the people were pleasant, helpful, and generally a cut above. I stay in Charleston 2-4 times a year and this was definitely one of the nicer affordable hotels in the downtown area.

Great hotel, fire drill at 6 am was frustrating. I will be back. Great bang for the buck excellent location. Wish there was some compensation for having 4 hours of sleep!

We felt that this Marriott met it's 4 star rating....comfortable clean room..friendly staff...gave us a two hour delay in check out.....close parking to building entrances....across the street from the Ashley river in a safe area

Beautiful hotel, overly hospitable staff, comfy beds....what more could you want?

We loved it. The food was great. We got to eat at the Saffire lounge on the top of the hotel and listen to live music, and eat at the main restaurant two other times. They also provided bus transportation to downtown Charleston every 15 minutes so we did not have to get our car out. It was great and I would gladly go back!

Very nice hotel in a very nice town. Shuttle bus to the historic old town part. Great service and a good family hotel with pool. Okay size room and a good Restaurant. Would go there again if we visit Charleston once again.

When we reserved the room Hotels.com stated that there was free internet. Not the case. They charged us almost $10 a day for the internet, so please beware. The hotel is around 5-7 minutes from downtown. The room itself was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful, HOWEVER, after spending a full day downtown in the July sun, wanting to come back […] and shower before heading out was NOT an option. This hotel is located on the north side of the cross charleston expressway. To get downtown you have to either call a taxi, or walk two miles through some sketchy looking neighborhoods. There is no concierge service at this hotel, no valet was able to be found until we went inside and asked. There was no bellhop to assist us with our bags. For as much […] money as this hotel asks for, they should have all that and more. ... from a Marriott property. At first glance it is removed a bit from the center of action, but actually it is only a short 8 minute drive to downtown. And it is an easy trip to and from the Charleston airport. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. It worked for me!

Great hotel. Very beautiful lobby. Rooms were very nice and clean. Restaurant food very good. Wil definitely stay there again.

I highly recommend the Charlest6on Marriott. The location, room and restaurants were excellent. Also the check in and service was excellent. You will enjoy your stay.

Wonderful hotel! I would stay over and over again. We loved the decor and free lemon and orange water! The rooftop lounge was nice especially in the evening. The parking could be better!

The hotel was more than we expected! Only minutes from downtown Charleston.

This location was very easy to get to and close to our destination. Everything was wonderful. Rooms were spotless and service spot on. Highly recommend is you are staying outside downtown.

The staff at the Charleston Marriot was very friendly and helpful. The location was a little far from downtown Charleston, but they had a shuttle that provided transportation back and forth that helped a lot.

Location for non-downtown hotel great - easy access to connectors and downtown; room seemed small.

Stsyed for two nights while in town for business and it was a great stay. Room was clean, staff was friendly, pool and fitness center were welcomed bonuses...
