My wife and I have stayed at Las Brisas over a dozen times, and the hotel is aging like a fine wine. The staff is both personable and professional and the private pool casitas and the views are amazing. Great place to totally relax and get away from everything and everyone! It is in the hills a little above Acapulco, so be prepared to take a taxi to town and back if you want to see the town and try different restaurants etc... Otherwise you are trapped with the hotel amenities, restaurants etc. When we were there in November, some of the hotel facilities […] were closed including the deli, the sunset bar etc. Just A little Spanish is needed to deal with the taxi drivers and some of the hotel staff. Pleasant and quiet stay. Service is very good in general and staff is friendly and kind. Hotel is well maintaned / preserved despite installations are old. The view of Acapulco's bay from the "casitas" is priceless . Nothing to complaint in this regard. Related food service, breakfast at the "Tulipan" restaurant is expensive considering the assortment […] and quality of the food. Something to improve if the hotel wants to keep their gest having meals within the resort instead of looking for outside alternatives. Beautiful view, private pool, excellent service. If your first choice is to not be right on the ocean but within easy striking distance, this place is for you. It is indeed a pink and white paradise. If you want a relaxing get-away this is it. Everyone has their own private casita. Great for a romantic getaway.

We really enjoyed the recent stay for 5 nights for our 25th anniversary. This is one of the best "noneymoon" places! Very convenient location, outstanding view to the bay, great service, nice staff... We have no complaints at all! It was non-season period (June), so we had 100% privacy with a private pool (it's quite big!) with nobody around. I personally […] wouldn't call it a hotel, as it has more than 250 casitas (I would call them villas) spreaded through the flank of the mountain (big hill). Our "villa" was on the top of the hill, so we could see the whole bay and Acapulco. We didn't want to leave our casita for a day or two - we had enough vine and food from the nearest Wall-Mart: 10 min with a taxi, 200 pesos round trip (15 bucks). For a dinner you will have unlimited choices of the restourants in the city: 15 min taxi, 20 bucks round trip. They clean the room twice a day and throwing flowers everywhere and even in the pool. I've been to Las Brisas four times. My whole family loves it. This time, however (April 2012, just before spring break) we had very bad experiences with the restaurants. Our lunch at La Concha took TWO FULL HOURS, which you do not want to waste being in such a lovely area. The next morning we went for breakfast at El Tulipán. We could see five empty […] tables, but after being registered by the hostess, checking out the buffet, and asking for a glass of juice while we waited, I had to go to the hostess personally to ask her if we could sit at an empty table. She said they were "getting it ready for us" and to have a look at the buffet while we waited. It wasn't untill we showed our anger that she let us sit down. Didn't much enjoy our breakfast after that. That said, the hotel is lovely, the hotel staff is excellent, and they have their own details, like coffee, fruit and rolls in your room every morning, jeeps that drive you anywhere in the hotel, two salt-water pools in the beach club, tips paid globally, so you don't really have to worry or carry cash anywhere; that's just special. I was at Las Brisas 28 years ago and having married since then I thought I would take my wife to experience it. Of course we received the State Department warnings about travel in Mexico but residing in the Washington, DC area and having traveled extensively we took them with a grain of salt. We stayed two nights and it was amazing. Service was great, all of the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was really nice and had a great view. We really enjoyed the private pool. We didn't get to visit the restaurants but heard great reviews. We can't wait to visit again!

Although aging somewhat, the casitas are well maintained. We enjoy the ambiance of the facility. The staff is exceptionally attentive. The hotel was not crowded and we were surprised at the low number of guests. Weather in Acapulco in February is almost guaranteed to be excellent.

I loved this hotel, it has spectacular views over Acapulco bay. The rooms are large, comfortable and very private with a swimming pool on the balcony (of quite a decent size). The beach club is also very nice but doesn't actually have a beach. It does have fresh water and sea water swimming pools and a lovely restaurant serving excellent seafood. The […] hotel is built on a steep hillside and there are courtesy jeeps to travel around the grounds. There is a dinner restaurant with views over the bay. Outside the hotel it is necessary to take a taxi as there is nothing in the immediate area (except a few restaurants), however the hillside location is by far the nicest part of Acapulco anyway. The hotel is quite old and the decor is a bit retro and not plush like modern hotels, but it is charming and excellent value for money. The best part of the hotel was the private pool right outside the patio door. The view was also beautiful. If you go, I would request a room in the 400 or 500's. The higher you are on the hill, the more private it will be. Perfect location, close to the beaches and downtown. Enjoy!

The views are Acapulco Bay were awesome. The Sea Bass and Mahi Mahi dinner at Bella Vista was over-the-top awesome. Room service and transportation within Las Brisas was excellent and very quick.
